JEE PAPER 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan) Dates Released – SILICA INSTITUTE

The JEE Main B.Arch and B.Plan entrance test is used for getting admissions for courses at IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, and many other colleges that offer architecture degrees in India. In addition to NATA being one of the major examinations for admission to B.Arch courses by prominent colleges, JEE Main B.Arch Paper (also known as JEE Main Paper 2) is now also being considered as one of the screening tests for admissions to B.Arch and B.Plan.

Authority conducting JEE exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam(JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION). There are two papers, Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates can select either or both. Both papers contain multiple-choice questions. Paper-I is for admission to a B.E./B.Tech course and is conducted via Computer Based Test mode. For admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses, paper-II will also be conducted in the computer-based test mode, except for one paper, namely ‘the Drawing Test’, which will be administered in pen and paper or offline mode. Candidates who wish to enter the B. Arch. and B. Design courses must qualify first in paper-II of the JEE (Main), and then in the Advanced Aptitude Test that will be conducted in all Zonal IITs.

JEE Exam dates

According to the NTA, the April session exam dates for Paper 2 have been revised. Exams will now take place on 21, 24, 25, 29 April and 1, 4 May instead of the date originally scheduled. The May session exam date remains unchanged at 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 May 2022.

JEE Exam pattern

The NTA will release the JEE Main paper 2 syllabus along with the information booklet. The syllabus for paper 2 of JEE Main for B.Arch and B.Plan will be available once released by the NTA.

There will be two papers in paper 2 of JEE Main 2022: Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Plan).

JEE Main B.Plan consists of topics from:

  •  Mathematics, 
  • General Aptitude, 
  •  Planning. 

Steps to fill JEE Application form

Registration: Candidates must first register for JEE Mains 2022 by providing basic details like name, mobile number, email ID, etc. 

Filling out the application form: Candidates are required to fill out the detailed JEE Mains 2022 application form by providing specific information.

Uploading Documents: Upload scanned copies of colored passport size photographs and signatures. Reserved category candidates also need to upload the category certificates.

Remit Application Fee: Candidates have to pay application fees online.

Application Form Printout: The application form must be printed and kept safe by the candidate

On the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in, the NTA will release JEE Main Paper 2 admit cards 2022. Candidates must download their admit cards to appear in the exam. Candidates can’t appear in the exam without admit cards.
